Irie Jam Press Party-August 4th

The line for this year's Irie Jamboree sounds promising with a lineup slated to represent the different eras of the Jamaican music.  This year's venue will be York College on Liberty Ave. and Guy R. Brewer Blvd.  On hand to announce the line up and to introduce their new sponsor, Heineken, represented by Peter Nwaobi, were The Irie Jam management, Bobby Clarke, Louie Grant, Erwin Claire (the moderator) Andre Williams and Steve Williams.  Anthony Turner was on hand to explain the media procedure for this year's event.

 

On air personalities DJ Roy, Spread Love Bobby, Jabba, DJ Face, Killa Boo, Nikki Z, Dubmaster and Andrew D were all on hand to introduce the line up and to welcome on stage, the performers who were in the house. 

 

The schedule for Jamboree '09 includes Etana (The Strong One) and Assassin, representing Saint Andrew (August Town and Papine respectively).  Also in the house were Gramps Morgan and Barbie giving a preview of what's to come.  Mikey "Mack Daddy" Jarrett who will be given an award, was also on hand. 

 

Other artists scheduled to perform are Freddy McGregor, Ken Boothe, Mr. Vegas, Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Spice, T.O.K., Bushman, Laden Chino and Sean Paul.
