Back to Their Roots!

It's been a while since they have performed in the New York city area, but this past week, Steel Pulse took the stage as part of the River to River performance at Battery Park City. The crowd was large and well representing the flavor of the city. They were in fine style. With only two of the original Steel Pulse members remaining, David and Selwyn, the Pulse sound was back on track. The selections were on the money. The rhythm was tight on all of my favorites from True Democracy-Rally Round, My House, Ravers

This performance was reminiscence of their performance on the Pier back in the eighties, when they were taking New York by storm and introducing the rest of the world to their brand of UK originated Reggae.
